A new painting, entitled "Kaiju Sushi, Courtesy of Cheese Grater Head", will be on display in Miami, Florida on December 3rd for the Kaiju Monster Invasion show curated by Harold Golen. The event shall occur at the Art Center on Lincoln Rd. and will end in January.

I will be in attendance for a showing of some new paintings at Harold Golen Gallery, April 12th, in Miami. As some of you may know, his original gallery was destroyed by fire last December, but he has continued to show artists at a temporary space: 314 North West 24th street Miami, Florida 33127

My show at M Modern Gallery, "A Strange and Lusty Heart", will open on Saturday, September 30th. I will be in attendance, in Palm Springs, for the opening.

I will have an image in a book called "Beasts!". Below is a write up from the Fantagraphics blog:
"BEASTS! is a 200 page, full-color hardback coming this fall from Fantagraphics and Jacob Covey. A gorgeous compendium of mythological and folkloric creatures, the text will be accompanied by full-page illustrations of each creature created just for this book. The jaw-dropping artist list includes 90 of the most talented pop culture artistes from the worlds of skate, rock, comics, scifi, children's books, "Fine Art" etc. Each artist has selected a creature from recorded descriptions of mythological (or perhaps just elusive) beasts and rendered their vision of it."
I chose to paint a derivative of the Disemboweller, a cousin of the moon from Inuit lore. She tells jokes that are unfit for the mortal constitutions of her victims, with the convulsive laughter generating enough pressure within the body to result in a forceful and dramatic expulsion of most internal organs. Here's how my version ended up:
May 2006
A new 5"x7" oil painting, "Scratchy Scratch", will be at M Modern Gallery for their Gotham group show on June 24th. Running concurrently with the Gotham show will be Adam West's (the guy who played Batman in the sixties TV series) solo show entitled "Beyond Batman". Mr. West will be in attendance for his opening - a great chance for all of you fans to finally match wits with the caped crusader himself!

Suburban Heat will be at M Modern Gallery for their January 14th group show Blonde Bombshells. I won't be there, but if you go, you might be able to meet Mamie van Doren.

My solo show entitled Suburban Heat will be at DC Gallery in Denver on Friday November 5th. They are located at 125 Broadway, across the street from the Mayan Theatre. The opening will be from 7 to 10 p.m., I will be there.

A new painting of mine, Fall Time, will be at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery Group Show, "Everything But the Kitschen Sync", in L.A. The opening is Friday, March 5, from 8 to 11p.m.

I will be having a two person show along with Mindy McEachran at Th'Ink Tank Gallery on July 12th - August 1st entitled Hot Fecund Sea. The Gallery is located at 1518 Wazee St. in Denver, close to LoDo and the 16th St. Mall. Go to www.thinktanktattoo.com for more details.
